Dear Retailers,
As we begin to prepare for the Christmas holidays, I would first of all like to personally thank you for your continued loyalty and support. I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce three new exciting programs designed to reward your continued loyalty and improve the overall shopping experience for our customers:
- The Retailer Loyalty Program
- The Best Face Forward Program
- The Building a Brand Program
I am confident that these programs will go a long way towards improving the overall shopping experience for our customers while greatly benefiting all of our retailers. We have provided detail information on each program below, however, I would also like to quickly address each of the three programs to give you an idea of the benefits of each.
The Retailer Loyalty Program
As a result of your ongoing loyalty, we would like to reward the retailers that have been with us since the beginning of the year by providing them with an opportunity to rent additional spaces at a 25% discount now through Labor Day.
As an additional incentive, there will be no limit on the number of spaces you can rent at this discounted rate and the 25% discount has no expiration date and will stay in effect as long as you do not reduce your total overall rent level.
This offer is only available to retailers who have had rented spaces for the entire year (since January 1, 2009) and are current with all payments.
There are only a limited number of spaces still available in the store. As a result we will have a draft pick system to make sure everyone has a fair opportunity to take advantage of this offer. Please read the information below for more details on this program.

The Best Face Forward Program
As famous quote goes, “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” and nothing could be more on point when it comes to retail.
The objective of this program is to create a more enticing environment for all of our customers and therefore more sales for all our retailers throughout the store.
Beginning on September 30, 2009 and at the end of each following month, we will actively look back at the previous three months for all retailers that rent space in the front third of the store. If a particular dealer’s sales do not exceed their rent over the prior three months, they will be given the following two options:
- The retailer may choose to relocate to another space in the remaining two-thirds of the store.
- The retailer may choose to terminate their lease without penalty.
The newly available spaces will then be made available to other retailers to increase the outward draw of the store and therefore create more sales opportunities for all our retailers throughout the store
The Building a Brand Program
It is no secret that there can be enormous leverage in a particular brand name. Selling successful brands results in premium pricing and a steady draw of customers.
The goal of this program is provide “brand protection” to individual retailers and enable them to establish a level of comfort when investing in specific brands.
To assist you in leveraging your brand lines, we will now maintain a list of brands that particular retailers will have the exclusive right to carry at the store. We will only provide this exclusive right to a particular retailer if they make a firm commitment to carrying that brand.
The exclusivity granted in a certain brand will be across all product lines of that particular brand even though the retailer at that particular time may be only carrying a certain line. This will reward the retailer that is willing to make the initial investment into a particular brand by leaving open the opportunity to expand in the future across other product lines of the brand.
